All of our shared and reseller hosting servers come with a dynamic self-configuring firewall. The firewalls continually monitor the traffic to and from servers.

The system monitors login failures to SSH, POP, IMAP, FTP, phpMyAdmin and DirectAdmin.

Multiple login failures trigger a firewall event that blocks the IP trying to login, this stops brute force attacks in their tracks.

The system is also able to monitor for SYN Flood attacks and similarly blocks the IP where the SYN Flood is emanating from whilst at the same time limiting the number of simultaneous TCP connections from a given IP and from a given IP to a given port.

Various other techniques are employed to help eliminate mild DDoS attacks automatically without needing user intervention.
